Hough Transform

• Designed specifically to find lines
  - Lines are defined as the collection of edge points
  - Find all the lines on which edge points lie
• The primary advantage of the Hough transform is that it reduces the search time for finding lines and the corresponding set of points.
  

Basic Idea

Hough Space

• Quantization of parameter space
  Large quantization block
  -> reducing search time ->less line resolution
